Who is Jesus Christ?
When it comes to this question there are a lot of opinions, but only one true answer. Some people say He was a great prophet, some say a miracle worker, still more say a peace maker, but the Bible says He was God in the flesh.
According to the Bible, Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second person in the Trinity (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; three persons, one God) and the Savior of the world. He is the only way one may obtain salvation and be forgiven of sin. Jesus has the power to forgive sin for two reasons. First, He is God (John 14:6). Secondly, when Jesus came into this world, He conquered sin and death, making it possible for those who believe in Him to be saved. Jesus Christ (God in the flesh) came down from heaven, lived as a common man, endured all of life’s temptations, and yet was without sin. Ultimately, He died on the cross to be a sacrifice for all our sins. And because He was God, death held no power over him and He rose again on the third day. By conquering sin and death, Jesus tore down the wall of separation between God and man and built a bridge, so to speak, back to God. God wants to have a personal relationship with you as your Savior. When we place our faith in Jesus Christ, His death, and resurrection, we become adopted as children of God and get to spend eternity in His presence in Paradise. Jesus came because He loves us and wants to spare us from the punishment we deserve. He offers us the incredible gift of eternal life that we might be in fellowship with Him and enjoy Him forever! All you have to do is repent from your sins, ask God to forgive you, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
